Hello, I'm Ali, a twenty-six-year-old primary school teacher who grew up in London and has lived in Manchester for the past two years. I was named 'Teacher of the Year' at my school last year, and, in fact, I helped design a new reading programme that raised test scores. Beyond that, I completed my first half marathon two years ago. I also saved enough to put a deposit down on a flat, which matters to me even when things get busy. What's more, I am proudest of the students who come back years later to say thank you. Taken together, I think these details give a fairly honest picture of who I am.
