Introducing Your Daily Life - C2

Good afternoon, everyone. I'm Ali — a twenty-six-year-old primary school teacher who grew up in London and has lived in Manchester for the past two years. I wake up around six thirty to mark homework before school, and, perhaps less obviously, I teach lessons from nine until three thirty. Beyond the immediately apparent, I play football on Tuesdays and Thursdays after work. At the same time, I cook a simple dinner most evenings, if only because the alternative rarely serves anyone well. What I find myself returning to, more than anything else, is that I try to read for half an hour before bed. If nothing else, I hope this makes clear that what defines me is less any isolated fact than how a fairly ordinary routine still feels satisfying once it has structure.
