Hello, I'm Ali, a twenty-six-year-old primary school teacher who grew up in London and has lived in Manchester for the past two years. I have a father named David, a doctor of nearly thirty years, and, in fact, I have a mother named Sarah, a nurse at the same hospital. Beyond that, I have a younger sister named Emma, nineteen, studying medicine. I also have family dinners together most evenings, which matters to me even when things get busy. What's more, I chose teaching instead of medicine, unlike the rest of the family. Taken together, I think these details give a fairly honest picture of who I am.
