Introducing Your Future Plans - C1

Good afternoon, I'm Ali — a twenty-six-year-old primary school teacher who grew up in London and has lived in Manchester for the past two years. To give you a sense of who I am, I plan to start a postgraduate qualification in educational leadership next year, and, notably, I hope to move into a head of department role eventually. Beyond the obvious, I want to spend a summer travelling through Southeast Asia. At the same time, I am saving toward buying a small house, particularly when other demands make that harder than it sounds. If there's a thread running through all of this, it's probably that I would like to start writing about teaching methods on the side. In many ways, what defines me has less to do with any single fact and more to do with how having both a career plan and a purely personal one keeps life from feeling one-dimensional.
